What to Bring –
The Mountain Escape Kit List
1. Appropriate Footwear:
- One pair of good running shoes
- Hiking boots
- Pair of flip-flops or slippers for pool or spa services.
2. Comfortable exercise wear.
3. Warm clothes for morning walks and afternoon hiking. The weather in the mountains can change at any given moment. Layering your clothing is the best way to go, bring the following items:
- Water proof outer layer (Gortex shell recommended)
- Hat, Mitts and neck warmer or scarf
- Sweater or polar fleece
- Long underwear
- T-Shirts and Shorts
- Workout gear
- Swim suits for the pool or for relaxing in the Jacuzzi after a long day.
- Bathing suit cover-up when walking from hotel rooms to pool and hot tubs.
- Casual evening wear.
- Tote bag
- Skin Moisturizer, and other toiletries.
- Sunscreen & Hat
4. Camera
5. A great book, your journal and writing utensils, art or crafts, knitting etc.
For those going on day hikes:
- Water bottle
- Backpack.
- Hiking boots are mandatory for day hikes / in week program
- Little first aid kit, band-aids, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, juice box ect.
If you bring the above-mentioned items, you will be quite comfortable throughout your stay. Please remember that fall and spring in the mountains can sometimes be wet, even snowy. Be sure to bring suitable attire and appropriate footwear so you may enjoy the outdoors, which gives you a taste of our Rocky Mountain Scenery. Bring everything from sweaters and jackets to shorts and t-shirts. Oh, and don’t forget your cozy jammies and fuzzy socks!
